Yarn

All monitors show color a little differently. We try to show the colors to the best of our ability.  While we all love hand-dyed yarn,  the dye lots can be drastically different and there can be differences within the same dye-lot.  We cannot be responsible for color differences between monitors or between skeins.  Feel free to call us for help with matching colorways.  We are here to help.

The quantities reflected in the online store are what we believe to be those in our brick and mortar Flagstaff, AZ location. However, our computer is not (yet) an all-knowing being and therefore can be incorrect about the numbers; unfortunately in retail, merchandise sometimes leaves the store of its own accord. In light of this, if we are unable to fill your order for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible and make efforts to resolve the issue.

Returns

We have a 90-day return policy for all regularly priced items. Yarn must be in its original condition (skeins must not be balled) with no pet hair or fumes (as from smoking).

We do not accept returns on clearance items, books, patterns, magazines, needles, hooks, wound yarn, or used/opened merchandise. This protects the author’s copyrights and guarantees all our customers the highest quality of merchandise. Thank you for your understanding.

Exchanges for items are accepted, but shipping costs in both directions are the responsibility of the customer.

We will absolutely accept returns of any damaged or faulty merchandise; please contact us through email at yarn@purlinthepines.com or call at (928) 774-9334 if you encounter any such issues. We will pay any shipping costs for damaged items.

Note that the industry standard for balls and skeins of yarn accepts several knots or breaks.

Note:

Superwash yarn tends to grow when washed, then snap back after being briefly put in the dryer. Non-superwash wool and other animal fiber can felt if improperly washed. Many yarns, particularly if they are hand-painted, hand-dyed, or a very saturated color, tend to bleed and should be washed separately from garments of which you would like to retain the original color. Please be aware of the required care of your handmade garments; we cannot be responsible if a project is ruined due to improper treatment.

By ordering from this website, you agree to the policies stated above. These may change at any time without notice; please check them before placing your order to ensure that you are aware of any updates.
