Cat Bordhi is Coming!
March 7th & 8th
That's right -- Cat Bordhi, knitting teacher extraordinaire, is returning to Flagstaff for the third time! If you've never been to one of her workshops, you're in for a treat -- Cat has a passion for teaching and a fantastic energy that rubs off on all her students. If you have been to one of her classes, then you know there is always much more to learn and share!
On Friday, March 7th , Cat will be teaching her Felfs -- customizable slippers that are all based on the same simple shapes. Knit flat and then felted, these slippers demonstrate Cat's love of both math and knitting in a manner that could not be simpler to understand. Best of all, each purchase of a Felfs pattern benefit Dr. David Krag of the University of Vermont Medical School, who is working to end breast cancer. You can read more about Felfs here.
The Felfs class will be 10:00am - 4:00pm Friday, March 7th. Class fee is $150 and includes a catered lunch.
On Saturday, March 8th, Cat will be teaching Personal Footprints for Insouciant Sock Knitters. Insouciant, which means cheerful and trouble-free, socks are knit completely in the round. There are no short rows, no picked up stitches, no grafting, and no gussets. In this class, you will create your own Personal Footprint that will allow you to use the insouciant recipe to make a perfectly-fitting sock every time -- with no gauge swatch!
Personal Footprints for Insouciant Sock Knitters will be 10:00am - 4:00pm Saturday, March 8th. Class fee is $150 and includes a catered lunch.
Please give us a call at 928-774-9334 to reserve a spot!

Bring Awareness to Child Abuse in Arizona
70 children died from injuries due to child abuse in Arizona in 2012. We are knitting and crocheting a hat for each child to be displayed on the 5th Annual Field of Hope. After the Field of Hope display is over, the hats will be donated to a variety of family service agencies in Flagstaff.
Come sit 'n stitch with us Saturday, March 22nd, from noon to 3:00pm. Refreshments, yarn, and patterns are provided! Bring a size F crochet hook or size 4 knitting needles. If you are unable to attend the sit n' stitch, you can pick up materials at Purl in the Pines during our regular business hours. You can also drop off completed hats.
